BETWEEN
PUNK AND
BAROQUE

Between Punk and Baroque is my current body of work.

I create vases and chalices by throwing them on the wheel, beginning with controlled, classical forms. I then alter each object, introducing accidental marks and gestures that disrupt symmetry and stability. I push these forms in search of a threshold where the object becomes an artifact—imperfect, unbalanced, and sometimes uncertain of its own gravity. The work hovers between refinement and collapse, between ornament and erosion.

I imagine these pieces existing somewhere between baroque sensuality and geological failure, or within the imagined worlds of Piranesi’s etchings.
